Sundial
Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms apply to Sundial, the Android widget and app made by Jeremie Roberrini. By using Sundial you agree to them.
Using the app
Sundial is free, needs no account, and is meant for personal use.
Times are approximations
Sunrise, sunset, twilight and moon times are calculated on your phone with standard astronomical methods, for your approximate location or the city you choose. They are close enough for everyday use, but can be off by a few minutes, more so near the poles or in mountainous terrain. Don't rely on them for navigation or anything where safety is at stake.
Open source
Sundial's source code is published under the MIT licence, which governs any use of the code itself. How your data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
No warranty
Sundial is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Jeremie Roberrini is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the app or from relying on the information it shows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
Changes
The app may change, gain or lose features, or be discontinued at any time. These terms may also be updated; the new version will be published on this page and the date at the top will change.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised as an issue at github.com/Jeremie-R/sundial-widget/issues.
